Sexual and Reproductive Health and Economic Empowerment (SHE) Supporting Out-of-school Adolescent Girls’ Rights and Skills (SOARS) – SHE SOARS Initiative
The SHE SOARS Initiative focuses on empowering vulnerable and out-of-school adolescent girls by promoting their health, rights, leadership, and economic opportunities. Through community engagement, mentorship, and capacity-building programs, the initiative supports girls to overcome barriers and build confident, healthy, and productive futures.
SHE SOARS aims to ensure that adolescent girls have the knowledge, skills, and support needed to exercise their rights, make informed decisions about their health, and pursue opportunities that enable them to thrive.
Why SHE SOARS Matters
Across many communities, adolescent girls face challenges such as limited access to education, lack of youth friendly services, early marriage, gender inequality, and lack of economic opportunities. These barriers prevent girls from reaching their full potential.
The SHE SOARS Initiative therefore works to address these challenges by creating safe spaces, providing mentorship and life skills training, and supporting girls to develop confidence, resilience, and leadersBy empowering adolescent girls, we contribute to stronger families, healthier communities, and more sustainable development.
